Copado Smart Tips - Commit Metadata Assistant

Updated 3 months ago by Estela García

As of v11, Copado will display smart tips on the commit page to display simple warnings and reminders. Those tips are manageable by any Copado user if they have access to Custom Metadata Types.

Users can enable/disable Copado tips for themselves if they have enough permission to edit their own user record. In order to see Copado tips, they need to go to their own user record and change Show Copado Tips field to true. In order to disable Copado tips, they need to change Show Copado Tips field to false.

How to create a new tip:

  • Go to setup -> Custom Metadata Types -> Copado Smart Helps
  • Click on Manage records button and then click on New

      How to reference Copado Tips in custom visualforce page outside of Copado:

      Copado tips are managed by a global Visualforce Component so it is pretty easy to reference it outside of Copado managed package. Copy and paste following code line into your visualforce page right after your apex form and save it.

      <copado:CopadoSmartHelpComponent />

      • Upgrade InstructionField Level Security:
        • User.Show_Copado_Tips__c
