Validating a Salesforce Org credential

Updated 1 month ago by Copado Solutions

What is Org credential validation?

Credentials are validated every time an Org record is created, edited or viewed. Copado will use the credentials to perform a getUserInfo call, verifying that the supplied credentials are correct. If validation is successful, the Org ID and date-time of validation will be saved in the Org record.

Will you store my username and password?

We authenticate your Orgs using OAuth which means that no usernames and passwords are exchanged at all. OAuth tokens are used instead and can be revoked by the user at anytime. Another benefit of using OAuth is that password’s reset do not invalidate the OAuth tokens, which makes integrations more reliable.
