How does Copado select a Git commit username?Whenever a commit or a merge is made in Git, you will see the username of the person that made that commit or merge. When the commit or merge is triggered from Copado, a username is also going to be displayed in Git.
How does Copado chose the username that is shown in Git?
When the commit or merge is triggered, Copado takes the Salesforce’s user email address and search for a Git user with the exact same email address. If a Git user with that email address exist, the Git username will used to identify the person who performed that commit or merge.
What if the Salesforce user making the commit doesn't have a Git user?
If Copado is not able to find a Git user with the exact same email address as the Salesforce user, the Salesforce’s user name will be shown in Git.
