How to Create a Sprint

Updated 9 months ago by Copado Solutions

A Sprint (or iteration) is a time-boxed period during which a team needs to complete a certain amount of work (user stories). The duration of the sprint is set in advance and usually ranges from one week to a month, a two-week period being the most common.

You can create a Sprint in Copado both from a Project record or directly from the Sprint tab. To create a sprint follow the steps below:

  1. If you are in a Project record, navigate to the Sprint related list and click on New.

  1. From Copado Change Management’s application, navigate to the Sprints tab and click on New.
  2. Fill in the relevant fields and click on Save.

As a best practice, it is recommended that you fill in the Sprint Goal field so that everyone in the team can focus on what they need to accomplish during the sprint duration.

You will find a list of the existing sprints and their status under the Sprints tab.
